Quote of the week

Yes, I am stealing this idea from some other blogs that I have read. So, my first quote of the week is from Alexander Hamilton:

I have carefully examined the evidences of the Christian religion, and if I was sitting as a juror upon its authenticity I would unhesitatingly give my verdict in its favor. I can prove its truth as clearly as any proposition ever submitted to the mind of man.

I must say that this is one of my favorite quotes that I have come across.

Traditional and Contemporary Services?

One thing that bothers me the most is a church that has "Traditional" and "Contemporary" Services. I'm ok with a church that might decide to go with some more contemporary music, as long as the preaching remains Christ-centered. My problem is with a church that has two different services so that they can get more people in their doors. Seeker-sensitiveism drives me nuts. If you, as a church, has some more contemporary music and might have a band, but keeps the preaching Christ-centered, is fine with me. But to have two different services? My question is why? The more we are like the world the less the world will listen.
Well this has been something that I have been thinking about recently.

A New Focus

After much thought, I have decided to change the focus of this blog. I have not posted anything on here for a while, so I thought I will start up again. This blog will now focus more on theology and Biblical issues. In essence, I will put my $0.02 in here. My hope is that this blog will glorify God.
Hope you enjoy.
